The contest is open to entries April 15 through June 14, and the show's opening reception and ceremony will be held June 22 at 5:00 p.m. The exhibition will continue through September 2, with 30% of photo sales benefitting the Friends of Lewes Public Library to support the purchase of books, DVDs, and other library materials.
The dynamic exhibit will run for two months and will feature several new subjects representing the people and places of the Delmarva Peninsula. Favorite categories of wildlife and history have been joined by new categories celebrating a range of activity across the peninsula. Entries are encouraged from throughout Delmarva.
This Year's Categories:
|Black & White||The Golden Hour: Sunrise/Sunset|
|Delmarva Icons: History & Architecture||The Good, The Bad, The Nor’Easter: Four Seasons|
|Event, Camera, Action!: Community & Celebration||Growing Delmarva: Agriculture & Farming|

To promote broader competition, a professional entry pool has been added. The professional entries will be voted on separately from the amateur group. Curator JuneRose Futcher sees the professional category as an opportunity for the greater community of professionals to see how they compete among their peers.
The panel of judges is recognized as gifted artists, professionals and specialists in their subjects. The 2013 Panel is: Pamela Aquilani, Michelle Davis, Deny Howeth, Keith Mosher, and Marc Weinberg. This panel of professionals will have eight categories and two entry groups for their study and evaluation; the ultimate vote will establish multiple prize winners.
Inquiries, please contact JuneRose JR Futcher at 302-645-8829 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Winners will be notified approximately 5- 7 days prior to the show opening.
To enter, please complete a Photo Submission Form (Microsoft Word / Adobe PDF) for each photograph and affix to the back of the frame. Complete one Entry Checklist (Microsoft Word / Adobe PDF). Submit your photographs, checklist, and payment at the front desk of the library by noon on June 14.
