Britannica School Edition:  Offers encyclopedias and related materials for students of all levels.   Users can also take advantage of the  Learning Materials, a collection of educational exercises, activities and study guides.

EBSCO Animals: Provides in-depth information on a variety of topics relating to animals. The database consists of full text records and abstracts describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals.

EBSCO Primary Search: Provides full text for more than 70 popular magazines for elementary school research.   Information dates back to 1990 and all articles include reading level indicators (Lexiles).

Kids' Search: Offers encyclopedia, dictionary and image searches especially designed for youth in grades K-8.

Science Online

Searchasaurus: Offers encyclopedia, dictionary and image searches especially designed for youth in grades K-4.

Tier 2 K-12 Student Research

EBSCO Primary Search: Provides full text articles for more than 70 popular magazines for elementary school research.   All articles date back as far as 1990 and are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles).

EBSCO Business Source Complete: Contains nearly 1,100 business publication including full text for nearly 500 peer-reviewed business publications.   The information in this database dates back to 1985.

EBSCO Regional Business News: Provides full text article searches for 75 business journals, newspapers and newswires from all metropolitan and rural areas in the United States.

Reference USA: Provides detailed information on millions of U.S. & Canadian businesses, health care providers and residents.  

Education Resources

             Academic Search Premiere:   Provides full text articles for more than 4,500 multi-disciplinary journals. Also provides information from 3,700 peer-reviewed titles.

EBSCO Eric: The Educational Resource Information Center, contains more than 1,000,000 records.

Testing & Education Reference Center: Provides test   preparation through practice tests as well as college and specialty career program searches.

EBSCO MasterFile Premier - Provides full text for nearly 1,750 general reference publications with information dating back to 1975.   This database covers virtually every subject area of general interest.

ProQuest Wall Street Journal Online

Heritage Quest Online - Search census from 1790-1930, books, Freedman's Bank, and Revolutionary War files amongst other tools.

Ancestry.com - Only available in Lewes Public Library - Allows users to cross-search thousands of databases, browse original state collections and search census, immigration and military collections.

Health Resources

EBSCO Consumer Health - Search health information by encyclopedias, fact sheets, evidence based reports, news, videos, images, and alternative sources.

EBSCO Medline - Created by the National Library of Medicine, this database provides medical information on nursing, medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences and more.

         CINAHL - Provides more than 600  nursing  and allied health journals

Readers Advisory

NoveList - Use NoveList to search fiction titles, fiction authors, articles about fiction and find all things fiction including book discussion guides.

NoveList Plus - The nonfiction version of Novelist
