Aging - Not for Sissies Program Series
If you haven't already, are you starting to realize that maybe you'd better start thinking about growing older and all of the implications?
Then this is the series for you! It focuses mainly on the increasing concerns of mostly-healthy adults over 50 years old but topics are of interest to all ages. Sponsored by a collaboration of the Lewes Public Library and the Sussex County Consumer Health Librarian of the Delaware Academy of Medicine, the series consists of five talks by local professionals on a variety of subjects on weekday evenings at 6:30 PM (unless otherwise noted):
Tuesday, May 4 @ 6:30PM - Keep Moving - Exercise and the golden years. Come hear one of our local physical therapists discuss the importance of moving and exercise.
Monday, May 10 @ 11:30 - 1PM - Diabetes - Take Control! - Lunch and learn for people with diabetes and their caregivers.
Tuesday, June 8 @ 6:30PM - Ticks and Tick-borne Infections (including Lyme Disease): Symptoms, Dilemmas and Practices to Prevent Infection.
Please call the library, 645-2733, to register for a talk. For more information, contact Consumer Health Librarian, Linda Leonard, at 227-2854.
