The Lewes Public Library is an independent public library member of the Delaware Library Consortium. The Consortium consists of all the public libraries in Kent and Sussex Counties, Delaware and other academic and institutional libraries. See the Delaware Library Consortium for more information.

We receive partial funding from Sussex County, Department of Libraries and the State of Delaware, Division of Libraries. Complete funding is received by the Friends of the Lewes Public Library, our Annual Appeal, limiited investment income from our Endowment, Memorials and fines and fees.
