Scholarship Information and Application
The Board of Trustees of the Lewes Public Library established an annual $1,000.00 scholarship in 2007 for graduating high school seniors. The scholarship is a one-time grant designated to encourage higher education study by helping to defray college expenses including tuition, fees and books. An applicant must be a Delaware resident from the Lewes community graduating from high school in the current school year. This scholarship grant is based on three criteria, which include prior work-based or volunteer commitment to the Lewes Public Library, academic ability and financial need. A committee, made up of library staff personnel, may interview applicants should there be a need for further evaluation. All decisions are final. The scholarship will be paid to the recipient at the time of graduation. Applications are available at www.leweslibrary.org. The deadline for submission is no later than April 21, 2008. Please include two references in the spaces provided on the form. Ask them to come to this web page to submit their evaluation. Optionally, you may print out this form and submit directly to the Director. Chrys Dudbridge, Executive Director |
