Resources

The Library circulates a collection of 49,000 books, videos, DVDs, books on tape and CD, and kits for Adults, Children, and Young Adults. Online Resources are available through DelAWARE, a collection of licensed databases and resources, provided by the State of Delaware. Please see the map for the locations of specific collections.

•  Additional online resources are available in the Library.

•  All items circulate except for reference books and items in the Delaware Collection.

•  Most items can be borrowed for 2 weeks, and renewed twice. However, DVDs and videocassettes cannot be renewed. Items on hold for other patrons cannot be renewed and, in certain cases, may be checked out for periods of less than 2 weeks.

•  The computer terminals across from the Circulation Desk are iBistro computers for access to the online catalog.

•  You may renew items at the Circulation Desk in the library, by phone, or on the Internet. A bookmark with on-line renewal instructions can be found at the Circulation Desk.

•  Fines accrue daily for overdue items. Videos and DVDs are $1.00 per day. All other items are $.10 per day. Additional fines will be due for lost and damaged items. When fines on a library card reach $5.00, the patron may not borrow items or use library computers.

•  If a book is not available in the Sussex and Kent catalog, it may be borrowed through Interlibrary Loan. Forms are found at the Circulation Desk.
