M i s s i o nThe
Mission of the Lewes Public Library is to provide access to a
wide variety of educational, informational and recreational materials
to members of the community through traditional and emerging technologies.
The Library will be responsive to the needs of the community and
will support programs, especially for children, to encourage a
lifelong love of reading and learning. S t a f fDirector
- Chrys Dudbridge Circulation The
Library provides services for the community of Lewes, as well as surrounding
Sussex County communities, as part of the Delaware Division of
Libraries computerized system of networked library collections. The
Library collection includes 50,000 volumes and during the year
ending in fiscal 2007 (June 30). circulation totaled 152,107
items. Registered borrowers number 11,548 people, and the library recorded
over 117,800 patron visits FY 2007. Library
